My Rant

was born and raised in Fredericksburg and chancellorVille va. Fredericksburg calls itself the most historic city in America being the location of the bloodiest battle grounds in the South were the confederacy walked away victorious. ChancellarVille too was a very bloody battle as kids we could play in the dirt and actually find bullets shot in the civil war. Fredericksburg is also the boyhood home of George waahington I think his brother also had a tavern in the city if I can remember correctly. Like most men I know i love history its just as exciting as a movie or a good book with the exception is that history actually happened. I have always felt that to understand the present and make good decision going into the future you must know the past. As far as i know I do not think that I have ancestors that fought for the confederacy but growing up in the area I can sort of imagine that time in which the area residents were faced with an involuntary invasion from the north. I do not beleive they came giving out hugs and kisses. The union raped, robbed, murdered, and destroyed everything in their path. If you were a southerner you could have betrayed your friends family and neighbors to join with the north or you could make the honorable choice at that time and that would have been to take up arms against the invading army. The idea that 95% of the southerners that didn't own slaves fought to preserve the immoral practice of slavery for the rich is absurd. I think in total about 600,000 men died in that war making it the most deadly war in American history. I think at present it is said that there are about 70 million people that are descendants of the confederacy, many of those folks may have a much more personal attachment to the south. Then there is still that northern supremacy that still survives to this day giving much sentiment to them damn Yankees, flags and monuments are a good way to keep that rebel spirit alive.
Then there are those that take offence to the flag, the monuments and anything about the confederacy and what it represents to them. They have a right to be offended the confederacy and the united states has a long history of racism though I am kind of doubting during that time the term racism even existed. It would be nice if a grand discussion could take place were we can still give due respect to those that defended the south yet still acknowledge the central motivation for those that declared war that is if truly was slavery. and also give due respect to those that had endure the hardships of slavery without so much discourse.
HIstory is Chaos the entire planet and most of its civilizations in previous times Were guilty of what we here in the present day civilized world would consider to be pretty heinous grotesque behavior. All of history is consumed with violence. Some times when people conquered lands and armies they would enslave the conquered rather than kill them. now they just tax us and tell us we are free that is as long as our masters get their cut of our income. If only this nation could have been founded without the practice of slavery. this is the single largest flaw we have as a nation. When they wrote the constitution their intent was to give true liberty to the free man. If only they also included that all men shall be free. this is hurdle that we have overcome and corrected as time has passed though it also a weakness that america's enemies like to take advantage of
As far as the monuments go, most polls suggest that the majority of americans want them left alone but it seems we have a very radical element amongst our ranks that will stop at nothing to see them removed I'm sure we as Americans should be able to come to some sort of compromise though this radical element seems to act only on emotion rather than reason or rationality. One of these monuments here in Richmond va. On monument ave. Is also a grave for the man it honors. The local afternoon conservative talk radio guy brought up the other day that we have many problems in this city, crime, a spike in the murder rate, and there seems to be a lot of problems with the schools yet though this was not actually an issue this new mayor ran on during his election campaign he's now decided to join the rest of the mayors around the liberal cities around the nation to remove these monuments at what could be a very expensive price tag. Of course if this guy wants to add this to his resume for maybe future liberal positions in government this could serve him well not to mention I'm betting the guy gets orders from the dnc to participate in this nationwide rebellion.
back to the descendants of slaves, these people do have every right to take offence to these monuments and this flag though i find it quite odd that 150 years after the civil war it is now that this has become such a major concern, i honestly think it is politically motivated white elites that have pushed this issue into the forefront for the simple reason that the right is winning the argument on what is best for this country and as long as we are divided and fight each other we are easier to manipulate and steer into the direction they want us to go.
at the beginning of the election i was quite impressed with the sheer volume of people that were politically charged and thirsty for truth. all along my own personal journey for truth I came across a pretty diverse variety of folks with sort of the same concerns and unofficial perception of our currently established government , libertarians, socialists, democrats republicans, communists, and National socialists, the list could actually be broke down into an even more diverse grouping than this but i will forego that for now. I had even come across some real russians fully intent on spreading truth/propaganda to propel dissent though ideologically they were nationalist socialist/communist they would probably fit in quite well with the progressives and the sanders crowd! Amongst this diverse bunch of Ideologues with different solutions to different problems and different opinions about different subjects. certainly something started to realize that could be problematic during the onset of this last election
. why I chose the libertarian approach to solving the great american fix, simply because we have a 20 trillion dollar debt that weighs heavily not only on the confidence of our currency but this is also a massive sum of money (i'm pretty sure this is largest debt that has accrued in the history of the planet!) ( another note Gw Bush spent more money than all of the other presidents combined then Obama came into office and spent more money than all the other presidents combined including GW Bush!, this is a problem!) that we as a collective must pay back in order to show the world that we are fiscally responsible and our money is safe and sound around the world! we are also engaged in a very dangerous economic war with russia and china. When I hear somebody say they the would have voted for bernie sanders i sort of look at this as if somebody is solving a math problem without actually looking at the math problem! my personal opinion is that this is the worst time in american history to up and decide to sway toward being a socialist country.
When this last election began my personal preference was Rand Paul reason being was that he is the most fiscally conservative out of all of them and probably by a long shot giving away free goodies is nice if you have the money to pay for it but when your shopping bill hits over 19 trillion dollars it's time to drastically cut spending. one has got to wonder though did the last 2 presidents intentionally commit financial suicide or was it pure incompetence the swamps too deep maybe? I don't know. Trump was second on my list but he seemed too damn liberal ted cruz being third. though he seemed kind of like a weasel I liked Ben Carson and his awesome story though he didnt have the experience he seemed like the kind of guy we could trust which is extremely important, trump and Paul have that wonderful quality too! The rest I felt were establishment hacks so picking anyone of them probably would not have effected the course of american history much. if i had to pick an establishmentarian (for which usually at this point i drop out of politics) but i will entertain this thought and say Marco Rubio only because He was my grandfathers guy and I trust his judgement!
i think it is best we hear opinions and ideas from all side of an argument before coming to our own conclusions.
