short but sweet history of slavey

96% of the southerners didn't own slaves but you could bet if you didn't march your ass to war the confederacy would have come and shot you! those 4% weren't just white folks, there were also quite a few black slave owners! the north invaded the south over a rich man's quarrel and everybody paid the price! all through out history slavery was prevalent in Africa, Asia, south america, the middle east and in Europe. the term its self comes from Slav or the eastern European Slavic people I guess they were most commonly getting caught up in European conflicts and being sold off into the slave trade. what the west is hardly ever credited for is the fact the we ended slavery! those god damn southern democrats were one of the last obstructions! as for the middle east and Africa many of those countries used slave well into the 20th century and some never ended the practice to this day, slavery claiming the sanction of Islam is documented presently in the predominantly Islamic countries of Chad, Mauritania, Niger, Mali, and Sudan.
